I Love SDSU!

Almost two years ago, I committed to SDSU.

The past two years attending SDSU have been an amazing experience. I have experienced a lot of personal growth, and I have been able to become more of an independent young woman. I have been able to find my passion in life, and I even found my life long friends.

The Campus

Every day I walk on campus, I’m so grateful and thankful that I get to attend college here. I love when the sun shines perfectly on Hepner Hall and when I can smell the food from the farmer’s markets on Thursdays, as I walk to work. I love this campus so much.

Strangers to Family

I met my best friend Danielle through my sorority, and she is also one of my roommates. My other two roommates, Carly and Claire, we didn’t know until our move-in day in August. Even though we were complete strangers, we instantly found a connection because all four of us love dancing, singing, and movies. Now when you look at us, you would think we have known each other for years. I can’t imagine my life without them because they are my biggest support system when it comes to school and life. We have gone on many adventures together thus far, and we have so many more adventures coming in the next year.

My little and Sorority Life

One of the greatest things SDSU has given me is my little. SDSU and my sorority reunited us after 10 years of being separated. When we were little, my little, Clare, and I went to preschool together, and we even did dance at the same dance studio. Unfortunately, when I was nine, I moved away, and we lost contact, until now. I’m forever grateful that we were able to reunite. She’s one of my best friends, and I can’t imagine what this school year would be like without her. I also can’t imagine not being in my sorority because it has provided me the opportunity to meet so many amazing young women who support and uplift me.

Academics

Before college, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Recently, I feel like I have a better idea of my career goals. I’m interested in going to graduate school and becoming a media researcher. This is just an idea, but it is a topic and career path that intrigues me, and I feel passionate about. Who knows if I will end up going down that path, but I’m excited that I at least have more of an idea about what I want to do. I love my major and minor. I’m a Journalism major, with an emphasis in Media Studies and a minor in Spanish.

Thank you SDSU for the best year and half of my life. Here’s to the next several years, until graduation!
